Celebrating 12 years of the By Jodie team
I’m having a bit of a love affair with Mallorca at the moment, here’s my 5 fave things to do.
Great shopping, tapas and drinks plus stunning architecture. It’s like a mini Barcelona.
According to Rick Stein ‘the best lamb he’s ever tasted’ and cooked in 100 year old ovens, you have to drive (or hike) to the top of a mountain to visit Es Verger to taste it’s rough no frills but very very tasty menu. The view from the top is mesmerising.
This elegant, chic and tranquil 5 star hotel an easy half drive out of Palma. Beautiful service, food and a lovely place to to have a long Rosé fuelled lunch. I actually have a friend who is a Chef at their restaurants which is how I discovered this place. They have beautiful orchards of Lemon trees – try the lemon tart so you can taste them.
I do love a beach, particularly one with turquoise Carribbean-esque seas and Sangria on tap. Blissful!
Ok so this was a major spendy treat for lunch but La Residencia in the romantic village of Deia is pretty special. A beautiful sprawling hotel, surrounded by perfectly manicured grounds and green verdant hills that roll straight down to the sea. My pictures don’t really do it justice. Food and service were lovely of course.
