After reading Caroline Hiron’s brilliant skincare blog I knew I wanted to invest in a good exfoliating toner and this Clarins one seemed like a good place to start.
The Clarins Gentle Exfoliator contains glycolic, salicylic and tartaric acid and these ingredients quite literally ‘gently exfoliate'(!) your face. It leaves my slightly combination skin feeling very refreshed, not dry at all (although I do always follow straight after with my moisturiser) plus very very clean, soft and smooth.
It’s very simple to use. After I’ve cleansed my skin I soak a couple of cotton pads in the toner and gently swipe over my face for about 20 seconds. In the last 6 months I reckon this product has had the biggest improving effect on my skin.
It’s such an easy instant way of exfoliating your skin twice a week and takes under 20 seconds. Recommended!
