Contouring your face every day is a little bit like too much effort for me. However I do always like to add a little bit of highlight to bring out my cheekbones and the high points of my face for structure and a healthy glow.
I’ve always used cream highlighters but after hearing rave reviews about the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial powder in Candlelight Available at Space NK. I am now completely converted to powder highlighters and what’s great about this one is that it looks amazing on camera as well as in real life. My friend Claire (who I snapped on my iPhone – completely un-retouched) is wearing it here on her cheekbones, brow bone, bridge of nose and in the inner corners of her eye.
To apply I either dab it on and blend or use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to buff it into any face powders I’ve already applied. It has a very golden flattering glow, not too ashy or white – just pure bouncing youthful light. What more would you want?
