My 5 Favourite Holiday Skincare Products

b81a30044745d5b66f260501ddf7004a

I love selecting and packing skincare for holidays and sunny work trips. Probably because I love holidays and beauty products! Here’s 5 of my favourites that I’ve used for years.

1. LA ROCHE-POSAY ANTHELIOS ANTI SHINE MATTE FLUID SPF 30

11091792-1554294087885848

French pharmacy skincare brands are great at sun care and I love the unshiny light formulation and reasonable price of the La Roche Posay facial sunscreen. Great for home as well under makeup on hot days. The rest of their sunscreen range is also great.

Available here for £10.70

2. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse

995414

Smells incredible, full of gorgeous ingredients and the perfect product to apply after a day in the sun before you head out for the evening. I use it after moisturiser on shoulders and legs. Definitely a classic for a reason.

Available here for £17

3. Caudalie Beauty Elixir

I love to keep this in my sunscreen bag and take it to the beach with me. Smells amazing and a lovely facial refresher. Another classic.

Available here for £11

4. Vaseline Intensive Care Essential Healing Body Lotion

US-VSL-10oz-Essential-Healing_tcm2858-777646

I’m not a huge believer in aftersun, as I’m pretty sure it’s just body moisturiser with a different scent. I do, however, love putting on loads of a basic lotion, as moisturised skin definitely won’t peel.

Available here for £3.65

5. Witch hazel Gel

8924882042910

The best thing for bites, itches and rashes which all seem to go hand in hand with hot weather.

Available here for £3.05

Living Proof Blowout Review

living proof blowout review

I was already completely sold on the Living Proof brand and as I wanted a new styling product to review, their blowout spray was my immediate go-to. The hair brand’s products are free from silicones, oils, parabens and sulfates and they are seriously cutting edge when it comes to technology.

It’s claims are ‘breakthrough thermal speed-shaping technology’ but the only way to describe it as it leaves my hair looking like a hairdresser has done it. It’s easier to style, I find it effortless to create a nice shape with the brush and it dries quicker. By the end of the day my hair looks less straggly and more cohesive in it’s shape. It can be used on second-day hair as a finishing product.

To use I blast my hair with hairdryer and wait until it’s evenly half dry all over. I then liberally spray with the product and use a vent brush to dry and create a bit of shape. I would say it’s suitable for those with straight and wavy hair and is only worth using it if you’re actually going to be using a hairdryer and not just leaving it to dry naturally.

Available here at Cult Beauty from £13

Boots Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz Review

Boots Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz review

I’m obsessed with this stuff. First things first, I love a facial spritz…..for clients and in my personal beauty stash. They refresh the skin, it’s lovely right before moisturiser to trap in the moisture and you can always take a cotton pad over the face after spraying for a very light freshen and cleanse.

I have a real soft spot for the Boots Botanic range – it’s such great quality for the price. The Rosewater toning spritz from the range smells amazing, is soothing, is 100% organic, paraben free, £5.99 and quite often half price on special offer.

Available at Boots here
