Home / Blog / Inspiration / An easy Xmas party makeover with Debenhams Beauty
Debenhams has got to be one of the best places to shop for makeup and skincare online. They sell many more brands than in their average store (plus they currently have up to 15% off all products this week!)
I created an easy Christmas party makeup look using my pick of some of my favourite bits on their site.
Firstly eyes. I think I might be the only UK woman vaguely interested in makeup not to own a Naked Palette so I was interested to finally try one out.
I used the Urban Decay Smokey Eye Palette to create a classic smouldering eye look. I started with ‘thirteen’ and ‘high’ over my lid and then blended a mix of ‘black market’ and ‘password’ along my lash line and into the socket. Great quality, pay off and also comes with a very useful brush.

After seeing Emily Weiss’s from Into the Gloss’s recommendation I really wanted to get Benefit Hoola bronzer into my kit. It really is the perfect blend of non shimmer bronzer and contour powder. A modern classic and I’ve used it every day since it arrived in the post.

A smokey eye always needs to be paired with lots of concealer to make sure it helps you look sexy not tired. I’d had my eye on the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Concealer for a while and selected a very peachy salmon-y tone to use more as a colour corrector under my regular concealer. As you would expect the texture is gorgeous and I’m definitely going to add a few more shades to my kit.
I added from my own makeup bag some lip balm, mascara, a quick brow groom and some peachy cream blush and I was ready to part-ay.
